1. Red (Maroon) Beret. This headdress was worn by airborne troops, of which the 1st Battalion was a part, they were Glider borne Infantry as opposed to the 'traditional' paratrooper. On the beret was placed the regimental cap badge, and in the case of the Royal Ulster Rifles, a dark green backing was also used. (Unit Commander) $20- $45
